KAMPALA: Hajjat Hanifah Karadi, former aspirant MP for Kawempe North and Commander of the Nkuyege Think Tank, has congratulated the newly elected Nabakyala and women leaders in Kawempe North, describing their victory as a milestone for women, mothers and daughters across the division.
In a statement issued following the women’s council elections, Karadi said the outcome reflects the trust voters have placed in the new leadership to represent, advocate and serve the community.
“I commend your courage to step forward, your dedication during the campaigns, and your commitment to serve our people,” she said. “Leadership comes with great responsibility, and with God’s guidance and unity among us, we shall achieve great things for Kawempe North.”
Karadi pledged to work alongside the new leaders at the grassroots level and to ensure that the voices of women are heard and respected in all decision-making spaces. She outlined key priorities including economic empowerment for women, improved health services for mothers and children, support for girl child education, and expanded opportunities for youth.
“Let us unite and build a stronger, more prosperous Kawempe North,” she added, calling for collective action to translate the electoral mandate into tangible development for residents.
