Nansana- Wakiso: Gombe Division-based Jesus Cares for All Ministries in Nansana Municipality has threatened to launch a lawsuit against Division Mayor- Kasirivu Roald on allegations of rallying a gang of youths to grab the land that belongs to them where there is a playground, a school, a mosque and a church.
According to Ministries’ lead Pastor Ms. Flavia Mbabazi, ‘the area youths have threatened to burn the premises accusing them of building a perimeter fence around the land in question on orders of Gombe Division Mayor Kasirivu yet the did this in regards to recent Education Ministry’s directive for all schools to fence their premises in a bid to keep their children safe while there.

At a press conference, held at the school, Flavia revealed that, ‘she reported the matter to Nansana Municipality Resident District Commissioner- Shafick and he directed the said group to stop the action but says, she still receives intimidations from them arguing that this is meant to impede them from using the playground which she disagreed with.
However, some of the residents including the NRM party chairman in the area have ranted against actions of Mayor- Kasirivu and sought he stops intimidating residents in a bid to grab their land saying it has helped residents and educating Uganda’s children so they will not allow him to side with minute youths who play football from there in the name of grabbing the land.
It is against this background that Mr. Mugwanya asked Mayor Kasirivu to fight his political wars but never to involve Nansana RDC as he is meant to fight for the people he is entitled to oversee.
Some of the residents revealed that indeed the land belongs to the ministry though they usually use it for different purposes.
Umoja Standard News agency tried to reach out to Mayor Kasirivu Ronald to establish his side of the allegations but our endeavors were futile at the time of this publication.
