The army and police have arrested a 38-year old woman Harriet Nasuuna, who claims she is a jobs recruitment agent employed by a Senior Three student, William Mugenyi 18. The jobs are said to be in Kenya. Nasuuna had so far recruited 179 youths from various parts of the country and keeping them at her home in Kakiri, Wakiso district. Out of the 179 youths, at least 98 had each allegedly paid 100,000 Shillings as a recruitment for jobs in Kenya, meaning 9.8 million Shillings was collected from the victims. Police have said they have detonated an improvised explosive device (IED) that had been carried to Miracle Centre Cathedral in Kampala that is run by Pastor Kayanja. Experts at Makerere University Lung Institute have warned that exposure to air pollution by pregnant women is catastrophic to their unborn babies. More than 100 residents of Nakaseke district have petitioned the Prime Minister demanding investigations into the alleged gross mismanagement of the Parish Development Model Programme.
