Kampala, Uganda: It should be recalled that at the start of this week legislators voted to censure State Minister for Lands Minister Hon. Persis Namuganza (Princess) but she trashed her censure by the parliament, calling it comedic and time wasting.
Namuganza stressed that said only President Museveni who woke up one morning and appointed her is the only person who can draw her back from that position but not anyone including fellow legislators.
“Iam still the state minister for lands. I can only just laugh to those that censured me in parliament. Is it them who appointed me? It’s only President Museveni who can fire me.” said Namuganza.
She expressed her worry that up to this time, there are some legislators who are being used to fight other people’s war.
Persis Princess Namuganza is 38 years (born 5 October 1984). A Ugandan politician and the State Minister for Lands, Housing and Urban Development (Lands) in the Cabinet of Uganda.
She was appointed to that position on 6 June 2016 being one of the youngest ministers in the parliament of Uganda.
Namuganza concurrently serves as the elected representative of Bukono County in Namutumba District, in the 11th Parliament (2021–2026).
