Masabaland, Uganda: Over the past two years, Inzu ya Masaaba has been dogged in Bukuuka leadership wrangles with the two principals – Elder Amram John Wagabyalire and Elder Jude Mike Mudoma each claiming to be Umukuuka III Wa BaMasaaba. Efforts to attempt to resolve the conflict by local leaders and Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development have proved futile.
Uganda Kings and Cultural Leaders Forum (UKCLF), under the chairmanship of His Royal Highness Isabaruli Isabarongo Mwatyansozi Mwogezi Butamanya, with clearance by the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development, will be in Mbale on Thursday, November 3, 2022 to mediate in a series of meetings from November 4 – November 7, 2022 geared towards settling the existing Bukuuka leadership impasse.
This follows resolutions arrived at during Inzu ya Masaaba Reconciliatory Meeting held on October 12, 2022 at Buruuli Kingdom Palace in Nakasongola in which Elder Wagabyalire and Elder Mudoma, accompanied by their respective teams attended and agreed on the Roadmap as below:
1) Thursday, November 3, 2022: Arrival of Isebaruuli of Buruuli Kingdom and Team.
2) Friday, November 4, 2022: Meeting the two Principals (Elder A.J. Wagabyalire & Elder J.M. Mudoma).
3) Saturday, November 5, 2022: Meeting Elder A.J. Wagabyalire and Delegates who elected him.
4) Sunday, November 6, 2022: Meeting Elder J.M. Mudoma and Delegates who elected him.
