Oyam district Police has arrested a teenager over the murder of own biological mother for overdrinking alcohol. 19 years old Robert Olwi of Amwa Teduka Cell, Okule ward, Minakulu Town Council in Oyam District, is said to have beaten his mother, Sylvia Aol, to death after she returned home drunk from a bar. The high court in Bushenyi is hearing a case in which an Anglican reverend is accused of impregnating a 17-year-old girl and procuring abortion. Rev. Gordon Muhwezi a former priest at Nyarutuntu church of Uganda in West Ankole diocese in September 2021 is alleged to have helped a girl he had impregnated to abort a five months old baby boy.
