Rukungiri, Uganda: A barber in Rukungiri District who went missing on Christmas day has been found dead hanging in a school toilet. Kennedy Akankwasa aged 27, a barber in Rukungiri town and a resident of Katungu village, Kigaga ward, Southern division in Rukungiri Municipality went missing on December 25, 2022, according to his relative Paul Muheki. Muheki asserts that Akankwasa left home for the nearby Kakonkoma trading center in Nyakagyeme sub-county, however did not return, prompting locals to raise suspicion. A Botswana court has issued an arrest warrant for former President Ian Khama, who is facing 14 charges ranging from unlawful possession of firearms to money laundering. Khama fled to neighbouring South Africa a year ago, after a bitter fallout with his hand-picked successor, President Mokgweetsi Masisi.
