Rukungiri, Uganda: A barber in Rukungiri District who went missing on Christmas day has been found dead hanging in a school toilet.
Kennedy Akankwasa aged 27, a barber in Rukungiri town and a resident of Katungu village, Kigaga ward, Southern division in Rukungiri Municipality went missing on December 25, 2022, according to his relative Paul Muheki.
Muheki asserts that Akankwasa left home for the nearby Kakonkoma trading center in Nyakagyeme sub-county, however did not return, prompting locals to raise suspicion.
Attempts to find him were unsuccessful until Saturday when his body was found hanging in a toilet at Kakonkoma Primary School.
Akankwasa’s body has been taken to Rwakabengo Health Center IV in Rukungiri Municipality for postmortem according to Elly Maate the police spokesperson for Kigezi region.
