Police in Wobulenzi are investigating an incident of vandalism and disruption at a church in Luwero District. The alleged attack occurred on Sunday, October 10th at around noon at Katikamu Church of Uganda. Sam Twiinemaziima, spokesperson for the Regional Police, confirmed authorities received a report about the disturbing events. Preliminary information suggests that during a church service, a group of individuals entered and assaulted the congregation. Mr. Twiinemaziima said the motive for the incident remains unclear. The Constitutional affairs minister, Nobert Mao, who doubles as the Democratic Party-DP president has challenged President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, to deliberately spearhead the processes for him to peacefully handover of power. The Ministry of Health (MOH) has launched new guidelines for paternity testing. The guidelines require laboratories across the country to among others apply for accreditation to be allowed to collect samples and also have staff that include a counselor or clinical psychologist on the team.
