KCCA Launches Weyonje Sanitation Challenge 2025 in Rubaga Division

Kampala, Uganda: The Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) has launched the Weyonje Sanitation Challenge 2025 in Rubaga Division, with the aim of promoting better sanitation practices and a cleaner environment.

 

Speaking at the launch event, KCCA Executive Director, Hajjat Sharifah Buzeki, emphasized the importance of responsible waste handling, proper toilet emptying, and pest control.

The event, held at Kironde Zone and Ssembule B in Kabowa Parish, saw the engagement of households and community leaders on sanitation best practices.

KCCA partner, Towauchafu, donated waste bins to support a two-bin waste sorting system. Buzeki expressed gratitude to residents, local leaders, and partners for their participation in the launch, calling for continued collaboration to achieve a cleaner Kampala City.

The Weyonje Sanitation Challenge 2025 is part of KCCA’s efforts to improve sanitation standards and promote a healthier environment for Kampala’s residents.
