Nakaseke, Uganda: Rt. Hon. Namayanja Rose Nsereko, Deputy Secretary General of the National Resistance Movement (NRM), has shared her remarkable journey of building a thriving poultry farm in Nakaseke district, inspiring local farmers to explore entrepreneurship as a means of transforming their livelihoods.

As the chief executive officer of Kande Poultry farm, Namayanja has successfully raised over 110,000 chickens on less than an acre of land, attributing her success to efficient methods tailored to her resources. Her farm’s achievements are built on three key principles: breed selection, nutrition, and proper management.

Namayanja’s story has resonated with farmers from the Billionaires Club, a group under the Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church, who gathered to hear her share her experiences. Ben Obed, an entrepreneur and poultry farmer, spoke of how a visit to Kande Poultry Farm inspired him to rethink his methods.

The event highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship and financial independence in Uganda’s development. Namayanja stressed that business is a powerful tool for self-reliance and national progress, urging farmers to explore options within their means.

Vincent Kasozi, director of Bangafi Group of Companies, thanked Namayanja for hosting the event, calling it a chance to connect and grow. “Wealth comes from understanding opportunities and making smart choices,” he said, emphasizing the importance of knowledge in business.

The Billionaires Club has built a strong network of business-minded individuals across sectors like agribusiness, trade, and manufacturing. Members of the club actively contribute to Uganda’s development by paying taxes, creating employment, and generating income.

Namayanja’s success story serves as a testament to the potential of entrepreneurship in transforming livelihoods and contributing to national development.
