Kampala, Uganda: Hon. Mbabazi Lillian, the aspiring Woman Member of Parliament for Kyotera District, while speaking to Umoja Standard News Agency in Kampala shaortly after Democratic Party Press Conference at Balintuma Road DP Offices, vowed to revolutionize services in the district, citing the dire need for improved healthcare, education, and economic empowerment.

Born, raised, and educated in Kyotera, Hon. Mbabazi Lillian has witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by the district’s residents. “I know the problems of Kyotera because I was born here, I grew up here, and I studied here,” she emphasized.

One of the critical issues she intends to address is the lack of access to clean water. “In Kyotera, we fetch water from the same sources as animals,” she lamented. “This is unacceptable, and I pledge to work tirelessly to ensure that every resident has access to clean and safe drinking water.”

Hon. Mbabazi Lillian also highlighted the need for improved healthcare services in the district. “We have only one government hospital in Kalisizo, which is 30 kilometers away from my home in Kifamba,” she noted. “Pregnant mothers have to walk long distances to access medical care, which is a terrible situation that I am committed to changing.”

In addition to healthcare, Hon. Mbabazi Lillian emphasized the importance of education in transforming the lives of Kyotera’s residents. “When I was young, we had to walk 20 kilometers to access a school,” she recalled. “Even today, girls are getting married or pregnant at a young age because they lack access to nearby high schools.”

To address these challenges, Hon. Mbabazi Lillian plans to prioritize women empowerment, particularly in the areas of farming and entrepreneurship. “Women in Kyotera are farmers, but they lack access to markets and are not empowered to take control of their economic lives,” she observed. “I intend to support women’s SACCOs and ensure that they have the resources and training they need to succeed.”

Hon. Mbabazi Lillian’s commitment to transforming Kyotera District is unwavering. “I am not just a politician; I am a daughter of Kyotera, and I am determined to make a difference in the lives of our people,” she declared.

As the people of Kyotera prepare to go to the polls, Hon. Mbabazi Lillian’s message of hope and transformation is resonating with residents. Her pledge to prioritize the needs of the district’s residents, particularly women and youth, has inspired a new sense of optimism and possibility.

Will Hon. Mbabazi Lillian’s vision for a better Kyotera become a reality? Only time will tell, but one thing is certain – the people of Kyotera deserve better, and Hon. Mbabazi Lillian is committed to delivering just that.”
