Kawempe, Kampala-Uganda: As the Kawempe North by-election draws near, aspirants are intensifying their campaigns to win the hearts of voters. Among the contenders is Mutazindwa Muhamood, a seasoned leader who has pledged to transform the lives of Kawempe North residents through innovative healthcare solutions and economic empowerment programs.
In a recent interview Umoja Standard News Agency, Mutazindwa Muhamood, affectionately known as “Sweet Cake” by his constituents, outlined his vision for Kawempe North. With his extensive experience as a former Councillor representing Kawempe North at the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA), Mutazindwa is confident that he possesses the expertise and passion to drive meaningful change in the constituency.
“My experience has equipped me with a deep understanding of the challenges facing Kawempe North,” Mutazindwa stated. “As a councillor, I successfully lobbied for the construction of several key infrastructure projects, including the Nakamiro drainage channel, which has greatly improved the lives of our people.”
Mutazindwa’s achievements extend beyond infrastructure development. He has also made significant strides in promoting education and healthcare in the constituency. During his tenure as Councillor, he awarded over 2,000 bursaries to students from humble backgrounds, enabling them to access quality education.
In the healthcare sector, Mutazindwa plans to introduce the Mutazindwa Mobile Hospital, a state-of-the-art medical facility that will provide comprehensive healthcare services to residents, particularly those in remote areas. The mobile hospital will be equipped with modern medical equipment, including ultrasound scanners, and staffed by experienced medical professionals.
“This initiative will revolutionize healthcare delivery in Kawempe North,” Mutazindwa emphasized. “Our people will no longer have to travel long distances to access quality medical care. The Mutazindwa Mobile Hospital will bring healthcare services right to their doorsteps.”
In addition to his healthcare initiatives, Mutazindwa has also pledged to empower the youth and women of Kawempe North through economic empowerment programs. He plans to establish workshops and training centers where young people can acquire valuable skills in areas such as welding and tailoring.
“I believe that economic empowerment is key to unlocking the potential of our youth and women,” Mutazindwa said. “By providing them with the skills and resources they need to succeed, we can help them break the cycle of poverty and build a brighter future for themselves and their families.”
Mutazindwa’s commitment to the people of Kawempe North is evident in his decision to contest the by-election as an independent candidate. He believes that this will enable him to serve the people without being beholden to any particular political party or interest group.
“I want to be a voice for the voiceless,” Mutazindwa declared. “As an independent candidate, I will be free to speak my mind and represent the interests of my constituents without fear or favor.”
As the campaign season heats up, Mutazindwa is urging the people of Kawempe North to make an informed decision at the polls. He is calling on them to look beyond party affiliations and to choose a leader who has a proven track record of delivering results.
“I am confident that I have the vision, experience, and passion to transform Kawempe North,” Mutazindwa concluded. “I ask the people to give me the opportunity to serve them. Together, we can build a brighter future for our constituency.”
