Kampala, Uganda: The West Ankole Diocesan Bishop Johnson Twinomujuni has been airlifted from Bushenyi to Kampala’s Nakasero Hospital for treatment of his illness.
The West Ankole Diocesan information officer Bright Niwaha said the Bishop got complications in the chest and the stomach.
Bishop Twinomujuni is known for having instigated reforms in the West Ankole Diocese since his election as the 4th Bishop of West Ankole Diocese in April 2017.
According to our source, the Man of God arrived at Nakasero Hospital on Thursday evening.
At his fifth anniversary as Bishop, Rt Rev Twinomujuni said “The diocese has faced and was going through turbulence, but it’s good God has graciously enabled us to move on.”
Medical officers at Nakasero Hospital are currently doing everything possible to ensure that Bishop Twinomijuni’s health situation normalizes. He reached Nakasero Hospital on Thursday evening.
The Diocese serves the districts of Bushenyi, Buhweju, Sheema, Rubirizi and Mitooma.
