Preparations for the swearing-in ceremony of President-elect William Ruto and his Deputy Rigathi Gachagua has commenced.
The swearing-in will take place at the Kasarani Stadium on September 13th.
On Monday, Directorate of Public Communications officers led by the Director Mulei Muia undertook an inspection tour of media facilities at Kasarani in preparation for the Assumption of Office of the President ceremony.
This comes after the Supreme Court unanimously upheld William Ruto’s 2022 Presidential win re-election today.
In a unanimous decision read by Chief Justice Martha Koome, the Supreme Court said each party should bear its own cost since the matter was of public interest.
The Court had highlighted nine issues for determinations and ruled in favor of President elect Dr. William Ruto in all the issues setting the stage for celebrations among his supporters across the Country.
The petition was filed by Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya presidential candidate Raila Odinga who rejected the results announced by IEBC Chairperson Wafula Chebukati on August 15th.
