Nakasero, Kampala: 350 students will be confirmed in the Anglican faith on Friday, January 20, 2023 at 2pm at All Saints’ Cathedral, Kampala.
The service will be presided over by the retired bishop of North Kigezi Diocese, The Rt. Rev. Edward Muhima who will represent the diocesan bishop, The Most Rev. Samuel Stephen Kaziimba Mugalu. The Cathedral holds two confirmation classes annually targeting students in holidays.
And, due to disparity in the Ugandan syllabus and the International Schools, the international school students study in July and are confirmed in August, while those doing Ugandan syllabus, start in December and are confirmed in January.
Key information Confirmation is a special church service in which a person confirms the promises that were made when they were baptized.
If you were christened when you were a child, your parents and godparents made these promises on your behalf. As a young person or adult, you may be ready to affirm these promises for yourself and commit your life to following Jesus Christ. At a confirmation service, you make these promises for yourself.
