Archbishop Pastor Dr. Moses Ndimukika Maka is now the 7th Archbishop of SDA Church, replaces Dr pastor Daniel Matte, he has been installed with fellow leaders including the executive secretary pastor William Bagamba and the treasurer Frank Kiggundu .
Officiating at this function the prime Minister of Uganda Robina Nabanja who represented president Museveni at this function reiterated government’s commitment to continue supporting the Adventists church giving assurance that the newly installed Archbishop together with his committee are to be given vehicles to ease their work of evangelism.
“Government knows very well the work the Adventist church is doing for government through education, health among others social economic development so government can’t wait to support it’s work” Nabanja revealed.
On behalf of government, she gave the new Archbishop 10 million shillings and pledged that government will soon procure a vehicle for him and together with his two committee leaders.
The ceremony was held at the Adventist day church at Najjanankumbi in Kampala and it attracted several dignitaries both from the central and Buganda government including religious leaders from different dominions.
Pastor Dr. John Kakembo led the installation service, who handed over the church constitution and the bibles to the new leaders and appealed to them to always lead by example reminding them that they are not in office as CEO’s but rather servant leaders.
In his speech the newly installed Archbishop pastor Dr. Moses Ndimukika commended God for the new leadership position bestowed upon him.
He gave assurance that during his tenure he will focus on 3 core issues including repositioning the church for spiritual growth, financial growth of the faithfuls and infrastructure development.
On the same function the deputy secretary general of the ruling NRM party Rose Namayanja who also doubles as one of the church leaders assured the faithfuls that she will follow-up the promise by the prime minister and besides as political leaders they will continue the good working relationship with the church.
