Kampala, Uganda: Uganda’s 11th Parliament kickstart Regional Sitting with Northern Uganda given the first slot and Gulu City as the host. This aim articulating specific issues that affect the region.
On its commencement on Wednesday 28th August, 2024, the Bunyangabu County Member of Parliament , Hon. Kamukama Davis Araali found the sitting to be an eye-opener for the Western Region, implying that it provided valuable insights and lessons, he and fellow legislators in Western need to leverage on as they await their turn.

The Legislator informed Umoja Standard that issues of wanting road network took the center stage are followed by poor health services leaving many without access to proper medical care as well disrupted fishing activities affecting the livelihoods of many who depend on fishing.
He noted that local leaders there are calling on the government to address these issues. ‘They want better roads, improved health services, and a review of the fishing restrictions. They believe that these changes will improve the lives of people in the northern region.’
During the second session today, Thursday 29th August, 2024, the regional Leaders will be presenting consolidated concerns to the President of the Republic of Uganda hoping to get assurance of addressing them.
The people of northern Uganda hope that these promises will be kept. They want to see real changes that will improve their lives and help them prosper.”
About Hon. Kamukama Davis Araali
Hon. Kamukama Davis is a Ugandan politician and renown businessman in Kikuubo in Central Business District (CBD) of Kampala, founder of Ngabo FM radio station.
He was elected to the Ugandan parliament in the 2021 general elections representing Bunyangabu County in 11th Parliament on ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) ticket.
He went to Parliament after unseating Hon Adolf Mwesigye who had served for five terms (25yrs) as a Member of Parliament and eighteen years (18yrs) as a Minister in the ruling NRM Government.
