For this initiative where she has collected the traders who have come to visit their products, especially the young ones. It has been very interesting and I pray that I will be working with her from time to time because that is my life. I’ll be helping her.
Make sure that this grows, not only in Uganda but even outside Uganda. It’s a good initiative she has started and being together with her family and so I think it’s very successful. We have seen a lot, young people doing a lot of things which everybody should come and see.
And of course, I want to 11 encourage all the young ones to do the same. Let them start their own businesses instead of looking for businesses. There’s a lot they can do to have a good living.
So, with 1this strength, I think people will learn a lot and will be encouraging to work hard and to use their brains and hands So that they can have a better life.
I want to commend her for this initiative and together with her family and the other people and as a ministry we are pleased to work with her and her partner. Young people should learn to learn.
If they could come and see these experts, I think they will be able to see what the others are doing and what they are doing and then they learn from them and start their own businesses. So I do recommend evolving this wonderful one through one. What about this?

The Trendsetters is an organization that looks out for what is trending in business. It looks out for what is that technology that is trending and avails information to business people, to government, to see that we can adopt those trending things. So one of the themes for this particular event has been the usage of AI.
Now AI and future intelligence is changing the way business is done globally. As I mentioned when I was speaking, recently I did a 25-page document in 10 minutes using AI, speech to text. But what is the problem in using AI or technology? First of all, people don’t have equipment.
How many people have got computers? How many people have got mobile phones that can be used for this? That’s one limitation. While somebody may have the computers, the electricity is a very big problem. Despite so much being produced; it goes off so much.
So we are appealing to government to find a way in which they can subsidize internet for people in the country. He is actually the president during COVID, the lockdown. He recommended the usage of radios.
That is the way to go for some time because for ordinary Ugandan it is cheap, you just put a battery and you use it. That is the way to go for some time for the majority of people who are in the rural areas.
80% of people living in Uganda live in rural areas, have no access to electricity. I think the p penetration of electricity has just gone to about 22% of the country’s population. So there is still a big problem that we need to be able to get more government support to be able to have the country to be competitive.
We must adopt technology if we are going to compete at the global scene. If we don’t adopt technology, you find we are using a hub to do coffee. What if we used better technologies? We would be producing more coffee, better quality and getting more money out of it. So we must adopt technology.
It’s a must. There’s no around about it.
