Kampala, Uganda: Bruce Tushabe Nzabanita, the President of Volunteer Uganda Extra Limited (VUEL) has finally walked free from forgery allegations crafted unto him by one Namere Justine far back in 2022. One Namere in those days, filed a case of forgery against Bruce at Masaka. However, Bruce through his Lawyers of Sebanja & Co. Advocates appealed to the DPP to withdraw the case because it was just manufactured.Mr. Bruce Tushabe Nzabanita, President Volunteer Uganda Extra Limited shakes with Brigadier General Henry Isoke, the head of State House Anti-Corruption Unit after mediatiom meeting.
In response, the DPP in a letter dated 15 March 2023, CRB124/2022 UGANDA VS TUSHABE BRUCE NZABANITA stressed that basing on the available evidence, the suspect (Bruce) is meant to be prosecuted. “Based on evidence on the file, a decision was taken to have the suspect be charged with forgery, contrary to section 342 and 347 of the Penal Code and uttering a document contrary to section 351 and 347 of the Penal Code Act.” She wrote. After realizing that he was about to be charged yet the cases are just fraudulent, Bruce through his lawyers ran to State House Anti-Corruption Unit seeking intervention in his matter to secure justice in a letter dated 17/June/2022.
At receipt of the letter, the State House Anti-Corruption Unit took on investigations and discovered that the root cause of the beef between Bruce Nzabanita and Justine Nameere was as a result of poor working relationship not really forgery as earlier reported and the Unit organized to summon her. Nameere, after realizing what may be serious interrogation, she sought for mediation with Bruce Nzabanita and on 18th August, 2023, with the acceptance of both parties, the head of State House Anti-Corruption Unit convened and chaired a mediation meeting where Nameere accepted and said that the charges against Bruce Nzabanita were just crafted and were not true.
