Kikuube, 16th June ,2026: Uganda’s Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja is in Kikuube District today to boost campaigns for the National Resistance Movement flagbearer in the upcoming LC5 by-election, Paddy Kisembo.

The Premier arrived with a strong delegation of ministers and senior party officials to intensify mobilization ahead of this Thursday’s vote. She is accompanied by the Minister for Local Government, Hon. Balaam Barugahara, and the Minister for Bunyoro Affairs, Hon. Mary Mugasa.

Joining them are NRM Director for Mobilisation, Hon. Rosemary Nansubuga Seninde, Electoral Commission Commissioner Hon. Jane Alisemera, and district party leaders. The team is traversing the district, engaging voters in villages and trading centres to rally support for Kisembo.
According to Hon. Seninde, the party has deployed multiple teams across Kikuube to intensify grassroots mobilization. “Different teams have been dispatched to various villages to engage voters directly, highlighting key achievements the party has registered in the district as well as other development programs the NRM government intends to implement,” she said.
The by-election was called to fill the LC5 chairperson seat, and the NRM is positioning Kisembo’s candidacy around continuity, service delivery, and implementation of government programs in Bunyoro sub-region. Key focus areas being emphasized include road infrastructure, agricultural extension services, health facilities, and Parish Development Model funds.
The Prime Minister’s visit underscores the party’s commitment to retaining Kikuube, with top leaders expected to address several rallies before polling day on Thursday.
