Arsenal are Premier League champions again, ending a 22-year wait that has defined a generation of fans. Mikel Arteta’s side clinched the 2025/26 title with a game to spare, finishing top on 82 points after 37 matches and finally bringing the trophy back to North London.

This was no accident. Arteta rebuilt Arsenal into the deepest squad in the league. Summer signings Viktor Gyökeres, Eberechi Eze, Martin Zubimendi and Noni Madueke added firepower and balance to a core of Saka, Ødegaard, Rice, Saliba and Gabriel. Suddenly Arsenal had two players for every position, and competition drove standards higher all season.

Consistency did it. While City and Liverpool slipped at key moments, Arsenal kept grinding out results. Saliba and Gabriel anchored a defense that rarely buckled. Raya provided calm in goal. Saka and Ødegaard delivered in big matches, and Gyökeres chipped in with goals after his move from Sporting. The midfield rotation of Rice, Zubimendi, Ødegaard, Merino and Nørgaard meant Arsenal never lost control.

For supporters who remember the Invincibles of 2003/04, this release has been a long time coming. For Arteta, it validates five years of patience and planning. For this group, it proves that depth, discipline and belief can break the City-Liverpool duopoly. Arsenal aren’t just back. They are champions, and the wait is finally over for everyone connected to the club across the world.
