KYANKWANZI: Day Six of the NRM Leaders’ Retreat at the National Leadership Institute (NALI) in Kyankwanzi has begun with a solemn church service, anchored on the biblical call to “be the salt and light of the earth.” The morning devotion set a reflective tone for the day’s proceedings, urging leaders to model integrity, moral clarity, and selfless service in both public duty and private life.

Beyond the retreat’s core focus on ideological sharpening and policy discourse, the program continues to intentionally nurture the spiritual grounding of leaders. Facilitators stressed that character, values, and ethical conviction remain foundational to effective leadership and sustainable nation-building. The service challenged participants to translate faith into action, directly linking personal transformation to stronger governance, accountability, and people-centered service delivery.

The integration of ideological and spiritual formation reflects the NRM’s position that national transformation requires not only technical competence but also principled leadership rooted in values that uplift communities and strengthen institutions. #NRMRetreat2026
