Ntinda, Uganda: In a moment brimming with optimism, the Uganda Electoral Commission officially nominated Stephen Makubuya for the pivotal position of LCIII Chairperson for Bukoto I Parish, Nakawa. His nomination has been met with a palpable sense of anticipation as Makubuya unveiled a comprehensive vision centered on unity and tangible community development, promising a brighter future for the 13 zones under his potential leadership.
Addressing a jubilant gathering shortly after receiving his certificate, Makubuya passionately vowed to bridge divides and unite the diverse 13 zones that constitute Bukoto I. “Our strength lies in our togetherness,” he declared, emphasizing collaboration as the bedrock for progress. “I commit to fostering a spirit of cooperation that will empower every resident to contribute to our collective growth.”
He outlined critical infrastructural improvements, prioritizing the long-overdue rehabilitation of drainage systems to combat perennial flooding – a major concern for residents. Furthermore, Makubuya committed to ensuring streetlights illuminate the roads, enhancing safety and security across the parish, especially during evening hours. A key pledge also includes dedicated efforts to reclaim lost community spaces, ensuring public amenities are restored for the benefit of all.
Beyond infrastructure, Makubuya’s vision extends to empowering the most vulnerable segments of the population. He promised robust initiatives for women and youth empowerment, including vocational training, access to micro-financing, and platforms for leadership development. “We must invest in our people, particularly our women and youth, who are the bedrock of our future,” he asserted, painting a picture of a proactive, inclusive leadership.
As the campaign officially kicks off, Makubuya Stephen’s nomination offers a beacon of hope for Bukoto I Parish. His comprehensive agenda, rooted in unity and practical solutions, resonates deeply with a community eager for progress and a brighter, more unified future under his stewardship.
