According to Chimpreports, Six people have been confirmed dead following an accident involving a vehicle that was part of the royal team from Kamuli to Jinja, the venue for the Kyabazinga’s wedding.
A police report indicates that six people died on the spot and eight others injured at Nawantumbi Trading Centre, along Kamuli-Jinja Road.
Preliminary findings indicate that the incident involving super custom motor vehicle registration number UAZ742U, occurred about 20 kilometers from Kamuli.
It’s alleged that at around 10:40am, the motor vehicle, which was part of the Kyabazinga royal wedding team convoy, lost control and rammed into roadside viewers, killing six people on the spot.
Regional Police Spokesperson ASP Michael Kasadha confirmed the incident.
Kasadha said the bodies were taken to Kamuli General Hospital Mortuary for Postmortem, and the victims taken to different health facilities pending further investigations.
