Kampala, Uganda: Hope Channel Uganda TV is the first Channel for Seventh Day Adventist Church (SDA) in Uganda and one of the 81 channels spread all over the world as the flagship TV channel of the SDA Church, it is located at Adventist Centre Opposite Law Development Centre (LDC) Makerere.
During the grand opening at Adventist Centre Kampala Elder Gideon Andrew Mutero the Vice President of Hope Channel International lauded the SDA church Uganda for the efforts rendered until this milestone of opening of the Hope Channel Uganda and advised them to make sure that the channel is relevant to SDA church and other communities.
” I challenge you to give people and church good content”. Says Mutero.
However Elder Immanuel Ogwal who has been among the team that has been at the centre of making sure the Television goes one air revealed that for the start, Hope Channel Television is going to be tuned only on free to Air decoder and in central region until when it will gain enough resources and vigor to spread the whole country.
The SDA Archbishop in Uganda Pr. Dr Maka Moses Ndimukika and other officials from the Uganda Union graced the occasion.

Meanwhile Pastor Rogers Kagwa the Head of Communications at SDA church told Journalists after the launch that the TV is not commercial and adverts will not be played and it is going to make their work somehow difficult unless they get Tax holiday for the first 6 months or 1 year.
“We have been seeing government giving tax holiday to investors coming here, why not there own such that they gain power to preach the gospel to the world” Kagwa disclosed.
