PARLIAMENT: The National Chief Coordinator for Agriculture and Cooperate Bank Promoters, (Retired) Lieutenant Magufuri Moses Mugisha has officially submitted a petition before the Speaker of Parliament of Uganda to consider passing a resolution to give birth to the long awaited Agricultural and Cooperative Bank.
Speaking to Umoja Standard, Lt. Magufuri stressed that ‘when this petition is considered by the Speaker and presented in the house for debate’, we expect all of them to support it because our write-up is very clear and *we believe during your Mobilisation you have caused awareness to your respective Honourable MPs*- Tells the public.
Magufuri and team have made several strides towards driving this agenda but looks like they are on the verge of having standing hope.
Currently Uganda lacks such a bank and because of this the general public has not benefited in line with agricultural financing and security.
