KENYA: One Tabby Ndung’u, a 26-year-old woman has been charged a fine equivalent to Ugx594,651 shillings or serve a 6-month jail term for insulting a police officer.
The lady hurled insults at police officers on Tuesday after they caught her making out with a man inside a car.
Tabby, according to a police report, was found kissing a man passionately inside a car that had been carelessly stopped in the middle of a busy road.
The incident happened in Kenya near Thika Road Mall (TRM).
Police said the lady and her man did not mind the traffic they were building.
When approached and asked to drive away to ease the building traffic, a pair of police on patrol said Tabby got out of the car and hurled unprintable insults at them, daring them to shoot her.
The two male officers reported the incident at the Kasarani police station and Tabby was taken before Makadara Law Courts Chief Magistrate Francis Kyambia, where she pleaded guilty to charges of creating a disturbance and offensive conduct.
The magistrate ordered her to pay Ksh. 10,000 as a fine for each of the charges against her or serve six months in jail.
