Malawi’s President Lazarus Chakwera has suspended with immediate effect all international travel for himself and his government in a bid to save money. The measure follows a huge devaluation of the currency as Malawi secures a loan from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to boost its ailing economy. Four students at Kabale University in South Western Uganda, Kabale District have been arrested in connection with the murder of a 22-year-old man on suspicion of theft. The deceased, identified as Martin Muhereza is a resident of Nyarugorogoro village, Kitanga parish, Kashambya sub-county in Rukiga district.
