Centenary Group, the holding company of Centenary Bank, Uganda’s second-largest bank, has made its first foreign acquisition of a financial entity by the purchase of MyBucks, a bank incorporated in Malawi. The group is eying more expansion to South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The General Court Martial in Makindye has remanded Major Gordon Joel Atwebembeire, over allegations of murder. Atwebembeire, 47, Tuesday, appeared before the Court presided over by Brigadier Robert Freeman Mugabe, and was charged with one count of murder.
