Bugisu, Uganda: Watenga Godfrey Nabutanyi, a former Lutseshe county Member of Parliament (MP), accomplished the dream of many men over the weekend by officially marrying two women on the same day. Watenga held a joint traditional ceremony for his two partners, Nanzala Beatrice and Nekesa Christine, at his home in Kuushu Town Council in Bududa district. Although it is not accepted in Christianity, polygamy is permitted in Uganda’s traditional cultures and among Muslims.
