Police in Mukono district have arrested six suspects to help investigate the kidnapping and murder of a five-year-old girl. Last week, Hope Biyinzika disappeared mysteriously after returning home from Skylac Junior School in Namaliri trading centre, Kasawo sub-county. According to her father Vincent Kikomba, no one was home when she arrived and changed out of her uniform. Uganda Development Bank (UDB) has announced a Shs150 billion financing program to provide affordable and patient capital to Ugandan contractors. Dubbed the Ugandan Contractors Financing Initiative, the program will offer financing along with business advisory and project management services. This will help contractors access bid bonds and guarantees on favorable terms to support their growth. Mugoya Biasaali, the former supervisor of a private security company, SGA has been sentenced to 45 years in prison by the General Court Martial following his own plea of guilt for the murder of Bugiri Sheikh Masood Mutumba. Mutumba was gunned down on February 14, 2020, at Lwemba trading center in Bugiri district. Police in Buikwe district have arrested a 35-year-old woman on suspicion of falsely claiming to have given birth. The suspect, who is married to Moses Kibirango from Bogwe landing site in Si sub-county, allegedly borrowed a baby from a friend in Kiqusa village, Kayunga district.
