Six women from Uganda and Tanzania have been arrested from a village in Phagwara, India for allegedly looting a businessman at knifepoint and threatening him to implicate in a molestation case, police said on Sunday. They were arrested from the Lawgate area in Maheru village on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday under sections 341 (wrongful restraint), 384 (extortion) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code, they said. The High court has ordered city lawyer Robert Okalang to refund at least $5,300 (about Shs 20.6m) that he received from his Canadian client, Thomas Dale. Three judges; Musa Ssekaana the head of the civil division, his deputy Emmanuel Baguma and Dr Douglas Singiza unanimously agreed that Okalang must refund the money in US dollars as opposed to Canadian dollars.
