NATIONAL: Aloysius Bugingo, the House of Prayer Ministries International Lead Pastor has expressed dismay by the total silence of National Unity Platform (NUP) President on the fight against homosexuality despite intensified castigation from different leaders.
Bugingo made the statements during his daily service at the prayer place in Kampala.
He said, all senior leaders including the President, Deputy Speaker and the Church have castigated homosexuality, “I am now waiting for Kyagulanyi.”
The intensified fight against the vice started last year when several materials relating to such sex education was found being taught in schools.
Also several young children in single sex schools made revelations that they had engaged in the vice and had started marrying themselves.
The Deputy Speaker of Parliament Thomas Tayebwa in one of the international legislative conferences slammed the western world for promoting homosexuality in Africa.
For the Deputy Speaker said, the vice was not welcome in Uganda. The Anglican church too and President Yoweri Museveni also slammed the “whites” for promoting the vice.
However, Bugingo said some leaders such as Kyagulanyi have remained silent about the issue despite fighting hard to lead Ugandans.
“Uganda should not be sold! Those who came before us put the country before God. It should not be exchanged for money.” Bugingo said.
He added that; “Whichever person who wants to lead Uganda, if asked to name his or her stance on Homosexuality and keeps meandering should die of any strange disease.”
Kyagulanyi while on a South African TV in 2019 said he respects all human rights including LGBTQ even when he disagrees with the vice.
