Kampala, Uganda: As our team went by, they found this tweet and we thought i can inspire and change someone’s mindeset. This is what NBS TV News Anchor, Canary Mugume tweeted;
“After my S.6, I applied for mass communication at Makerere University but I couldn’t match up the required ‘points.’ Even if I had, my mother would not have afforded to pay for my tuition. I remember being extremely depressed for 3 years, meanwhile my friends were completing Uni.”
“But God works in mysterious ways! If it weren’t for a scholarship opportunity at
I would be joining university today (11 years after my S6) because it’s today that I can afford it. Looking back, the depression was unnecessary but I had no one to tell me so.”
“If you are a P7 vacist and you are reading this but didn’t get a first grade, don’t be depressed about it. I scored 10 aggregates in my PLE. No where, ever in my career – have I been asked how many aggregates I scored at P7”.
For, a student, we hope you’ll take something home.
