The Acting General Manager of ETDCO Company, CPA Sadock Mugendi, said that they are continuing construction of electricity infrastructure in the country, including the power transmission line from Tabora to Katavi.
Sadock said the power transmission project is already at 67%.
CPA Mugendi adressed the public that the project from Tabora to Katavi which is 383 kilometers long with a voltage of 132kV is expected to be completed within this year.
This will lead to Katavi Region to be integrated to the national grid and consumes reliable electricity.
The project will also benefit the parent company TANESCO by reducing costs of buying diesel fuel for generators to generate electricity in Katavi Region stated Mugendi.
CPA Sadock Also congratulated the government of Tanzania under H.E Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan for investing in the Energy sector to serve its citizens well.
CPA Sadock made the statement while visiting the strategic project from Tabora to Katavi with 132kV voltage.
