SG Richard Todwong Urges Acholi NRM Leaders to Prioritise Grassroots Mobilisation Ahead of LC and Women Council Elections

Gulu City: The NRM Secretary General, Rt. Hon. Richard Todwong, is currently addressing party leaders from the Acholi sub-region at Acholi Inn in Gulu City as the National Resistance Movement intensifies mobilisation ahead of the upcoming Local Council and Women Council elections.

The high-level sub-regional meeting has brought together NRM Members of Parliament, district party chairpersons, and other party leaders from across the Acholi sub-region to harmonise mobilisation strategies and strengthen grassroots structures.

“The foundation of leadership in this country starts with the LC I chairperson. These elections are, therefore, critical to strengthening our party structures and consolidating the gains of the NRM at the grassroots,” he said.

Last Friday, Rt. Hon. Todwong flagged off teams from the NRM Secretariat to traverse all regions of the country, engaging party leaders and members, popularising the electoral roadmap, and rallying support for NRM candidates in the forthcoming grassroots elections.
