Sandi AI, the AI-powered platform helping communities access clean water and sanitation, today announced its Group Rotational Savings (“Save Now, Take Later”) feature, the launch of USSD access for non-smartphone users, and the opening of its Kenya office. While the head office remains in Uganda, the Nairobi office will serve as a regional hub for Kenya, supporting local partners and communities.
The Group Rotational Savings feature allows community groups to save together and set their own targets. For example, a group of eight members can agree to contribute monthly toward a water harvesting facility. Once the monthly target is reached, one member receives the facility, and over the course of eight months, all members benefit.
To ensure inclusivity, Sandi AI now supports USSD, allowing communities without smartphones to participate in savings groups, contribute, and track progress easily.
Sandi AI does not sell water technologies directly. Instead, it connects saving groups to trusted partner manufacturers, providing high-quality water and sanitation solutions at factory prices. The AI platform tracks contributions, ensures fairness, and provides guidance to help communities reach their goals efficiently.
