Kampala, Uganda: Heavy rainfall has caused widespread flooding in several parts of Kampala, prompting the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) to spring into action.

KCCA Executive Director, Sharifah Buzeki, led a team to the affected areas, engaging with stakeholders and assessing the situation firsthand.
According to KCCA, swift action has been taken to mitigate the impact of the floods, including deploying equipment to evacuate water and clear debris in collaboration with the Uganda Police Force and National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC).

Drainage teams are working around the clock to restore normalcy and ensure the city’s resilience.
The city leadership has pledged to continue monitoring the situation closely, with emergency services on standby to respond to any further incidents.

Residents are advised to exercise caution, especially in low-lying areas, and report any incidents to the relevant authorities. KCCA reassures citizens that all necessary measures are being taken to ensure Kampala remains safe and secure.
The public is urged to stay informed and follow official updates for the latest information on the situation.
