Museveni Directs NRM Teams to Distribute Party Manifesto

Maracha, West Nile: President Yoweri Museveni has directed NRM mobilisation teams to distribute the party’s 2026-2031 manifesto across all parishes in Uganda.

Addressing thousands of supporters in Maracha District, Museveni emphasized that the manifesto outlines NRM’s strategic ambitions to protect past gains and propel Uganda into a high middle-income status.

He urged the electorate to understand and embrace the nine thematic areas of NRM’s development focus, including peace and security, wealth and job creation, industrialization, education, and infrastructure.

Museveni cautioned against divisive politics and encouraged the people of Maracha to capitalize on their strategic location bordering the DRC and South Sudan, noting that cross-border trade presents vast opportunities for economic advancement.

He pledged to prioritize last-mile electricity distribution, equitable distribution of schools, and investing future oil revenues in transformative infrastructure projects.

Museveni also tasked NRM leaders to follow up on the operationalization of SACCO funds for graduates of the Presidential Skilling Hub in West Nile, which had been delayed.

He on the people of Maracha to abandon subsistence farming and fully embrace government-led wealth creation programs for sustainable livelihoods and economic independence.
