Kampala, Uganda: The Prime Minister of Uganda Rt Hon Nabbanja Robinah today officiated at the 2025 Kampala City Festival at Kololo Independence Grounds.
Organized by KCCA, the festival returns after a 7-year break, drawing crowds from across the country to celebrate.
“Culture, Innovation, and Sustainability.” is this year’s theme.
As part of the celebrations, children attending received fruit tree seedlings—including jackfruit, avocado, and mango—as a reminder to protect the environment and keep Kampala clean and green.
KCCA also used the festival to engage residents on ongoing city programs.
According Nabbanja, this marks the revival of the Kampala City Festival and will become an annual event in the coming years.
Minister for Kampala Minsa Kabanda, State Minister Kabuye Kyofatogabye, KCCA ED Sharifah Buzeki, and a cross section of technical officers graced the occasion among others.
