ALEBTONG & OTUKE: Northern Uganda’s residents have reason to breathe a sigh of relief as Hon. Hamson Obua, the NRM Vice Chairperson for the Northern Region, praises President Museveni’s efforts to restore peace in the region.
Speaking in Alebtong and Otuke districts, Obua commended the President’s decisive action against notorious rebel groups, including the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA), and cattle rustlers that had plagued the area for years.
The region had been a hotbed of violence and instability, with individuals and groups like Ojuku, Lakwena, Olum-Olum, and Chelibong causing havoc and displacing many communities.
President Museveni’s military campaigns and initiatives have brought a measure of calm to these districts, allowing residents to rebuild their lives.
“President Museveni’s efforts in quelling these rebellions and promoting regional stability can not be underrated,” said Obua.
