Kampala, Uganda: The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) selection exercise is underway, and Sacred Heart Secondary School is geared up to welcome its new students. According to CPA Denis Turyamureeba, a teacher at the school, the exercise has started on a positive note, with the state minister for primary education providing guidance on the selection and placement process.
As part of its preparations, Sacred Heart Secondary School has already organized itself to receive the new intake of students. The school is committed to providing a supportive environment that will enable students to settle in quickly and receive a quality education.
Turyamureeba expressed his appreciation for the Ministry of Education’s efforts in organizing the selection exercise and emphasized the school’s commitment to implementing the policy issues discussed.
One of the key focus areas for Sacred Heart Secondary School is the implementation of the new curriculum. The school is aware that the first batch of students who started with the new curriculum will be completing their Senior Four studies soon.
Turyamureeba noted that the school has been well-prepared to handle the new curriculum, with teachers undergoing rigorous training in teaching and assessment. The school is optimistic that the next cohort of students will perform even better, thanks to the availability of past papers and model papers.
The introduction of the new curriculum has also led to a reduction in tension among teachers and students, as they now understand the importance of critical thinking, innovativeness, and creativity in the learning process. Sacred Heart Secondary School is committed to providing a holistic education that will equip its students with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in an ever-changing world.
With its strong focus on academic excellence and student well-being, Sacred Heart Secondary School is poised to continue its tradition of providing quality education to its students. As the school welcomes its new intake of students, it is clear that the future of education in Uganda is in good hands.
