Sironko, Uganda: Bugunzu Seed Secondary School is preparing to welcome its new intake of students for the 2025 academic year, despite facing several challenges. According to Mr. Chemonges Wilson, the head teacher, the school is doing its best to ensure a smooth transition for the incoming students.

However, Wilson noted that the school is not yet fully prepared to implement the new curriculum, citing limited equipment and resources as major challenges. “At the new curriculum, you are highly welcome, but you face a lot of challenges,” he said.

Despite these challenges, Bugunzu Seed Secondary School has made significant preparations to receive its new students. The school has confirmed that it will be opening its doors on February 17th, and Wilson expressed optimism that the school will be able to provide quality education to its students.

Regarding the rollout of the new curriculum for Senior Five students, Wilson acknowledged that there are contradicting views from the Ministry of Education and the National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC). However, he expressed confidence that the school will be able to navigate these challenges and provide its students with the best possible education.

Overall, while Bugunzu Seed Secondary School faces several challenges, it is clear that the school is committed to providing quality education to its students. With its dedicated staff and administration, the school is well-positioned to overcome the challenges ahead and provide its students with a successful and fulfilling academic year.
