Yumbe, Uganda: Odravu Secondary School in Yumbe district has continued to excel as one of the top-performing schools in the region. According to Timothy Acidri, the acting deputy headteacher, the school’s commitment to academic excellence and moral values has earned it a reputation as a premier institution in West Nile.

While acknowledging that the recent Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) results were not as strong as in previous years, Acidri attributed this to the new system of setting questions that emphasizes high-order skills. “We hope for improvements in the subsequent examinations,” he said.

As a science-based school, Odravu Secondary School has consistently produced top-performing students in sciences at both O-level and A-level. The school’s dedicated staff, low tuition fees, and rural location make it an attractive option for students seeking an all-rounded education.

“We emphasize morals highly, and that is our biggest selling point in West Nile,” Acidri said. “We are known for producing disciplined and well-behaved students, and that’s the feedback we always get from the community about our students.”

As the school prepares to welcome its new intake of Senior One students, Acidri extended an invitation to parents and students to join the Odravu Secondary School community. “If you’re looking for a school that will provide your child with a well-rounded education, academic excellence, and strong moral values, then Odravu Secondary School is the perfect choice,” he said.

With its proven track record of success, committed staff, and strong emphasis on moral values, Odravu Secondary School is poised to continue shining as a beacon of excellence in the West Nile region.
