National Resistance Movement (NRM) Kicks Off Register Update Exercise Across the Country

Kampala, Uganda: The National Resistance Movement (NRM), Uganda’s ruling party, has commenced the display and update of its membership register across all villages in the country.

The exercise, which started on Wednesday, 29th January, 2025 aims to ensure that all NRM supporters are registered and their details are up-to-date. The party has encouraged its supporters to visit their respective village branches to cross-check their membership in the yellow books.

According to the NRM Secretary-General, Rt. Hon. Richard Todwong, the exercise is crucial in ensuring that the party’s membership register is accurate and reliable. “This exercise is important because it will help us to have an accurate and up-to-date register of our members,” he said.

The NRM has emphasized that the exercise is open to all its supporters, and that everyone is encouraged to participate. “We want to ensure that every NRM supporter is registered and their details are up-to-date,” said the Secretary-General.

The exercise is being conducted at the village level, where NRM supporters will be required to verify their details in the yellow books. The party has assured its supporters that the exercise will be conducted in a transparent and fair manner.

The NRM has a strong presence in rural areas, and the party is keen to ensure that its supporters in these areas are registered and their voices heard. “We value the support of our rural supporters, and we want to ensure that they are fully registered and participating in the party’s activities,” said the Secretary-General.
