Kampala, Uganda:
“Beloved brethren in Christ,
As we celebrate Uganda’s 62nd Independence Day, I am reminded of the scripture in Psalm 121:1-2, ‘I lift up my eyes to the hills, from where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.’

Today, we give thanks to Almighty God for the gift of freedom and independence. We acknowledge His sovereignty over our nation and the blessings He has bestowed upon us.
Sixty-two years ago, our forefathers cried out for liberation, and God heard their cry. He delivered us from the shackles of colonialism and granted us self-governance.
As we commemorate this milestone, let us not forget the price paid for our freedom. Let us honor the sacrifices of our ancestors and the faithfulness of God.
As Christians, we are reminded that our true freedom comes not from human struggle, but from Christ Jesus. Galatians 5:1 says, ‘It is for freedom that Christ has set us free; stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.’
As we celebrate, let us; Pray for continued peace and stability in our nation, intercede for leaders, that they may seek God’s wisdom, Commit to being salt and light, transforming our communities., Give thanks for God’s faithfulness and provision.
In 2 Chronicles 7:14, God says, ‘If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.’
May God bless Uganda, and may we, as His people, remain faithful stewards of His blessings.
