Kampala, Uganda: On a cool Friday afternoon, the Bunyangabu County Member of Parliament Hon Kamukama Davis Araali paid a courtesy visit to Kabale Muslim Primary School in Kibiito Sub County in Bunyangabu District.
The legislator’s main purpose for the visit was to check on the progress of the school, plan together with school officials as well lobbying for the school. He commended the valuable work witnessed at the school.
Addressing the Legislator, the Headteacher of the school stressed that they successfully organized donors conference where they raised funds to construct staff quarters. ‘We are also face lifting classroom blocks and Office block.
He noted that the school shined in the 2023 PLE as 64 of the pupils who sat for UNEB scored first grade.
He expressed expressed the need for support to build nine classroom blocks due to ever increasing number of pupils in the school, the teacher do not much the number of students and the desk are few in this regard.
He revealed that the school is planning to erect a mega storyed classroom block and they’re now looking for donors however the plan is not yet out, ‘we are looking for funds to get from the the architect.’
On his part, Hon. Kamukama contributed good amounts of money to catalyze the school activities as well for them to get their architectural plan to help them lobby for funding.
He pledged to be in touch with the school as he has always done to approach may offices in Kampala like the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council, different Government Ministries, Parliament of Uganda, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), and well-wishers.
The School Management Committee (SMC), Parents-Teachers Association of the school up lauded the Legislator for moving with them in every step of the development of the school in all spheres.
