PARLIAMENT UG: Since morning Uganda Police has been playing ‘hide and seek’ with the youths who hit Kampala City streets in pursuit of matching to Parliament to petition the Speaker of Parliament regarding ‘stinking’ corruption that is eating up our motherland.
In this endeavor, many have been arrested others dispersed however some are still striding on till their match materialize.
However, this website has been reliably informed that on of the bravest youths has finally made it to Parliament confines with a placard expressing his dissatisfaction with the ongoing vice.
Upon speaking to Media, Parliament Police immediately chipped in and carried him away, loaded on Police Patrol car and driven away.
Youths are expressing demands including but not limited to Speaker Anita Among resignation, Refurbishing of government essential institutions like hospitals, fighting corruption in all sectors, upgrading of infrastructures and others.
Most notable Ugandans including legislators like Hon. Kamukama Davis Araali earlier alone advised the youths not to take this course rather give an opportunity for institutions like IGG and State House Anti-Corruption Unit to take on the matter as some figures involved in the vice are already arrested and and investigations are ongoing.
Hon. Kamukama’s came with an argument that if youths protested, there may be wrong elements who may infiltrate into them hence causing destruction of peace, and stability.
According to many Political analysts in Uganda, the youths have drives inspiration from Gen Z that has caused change in Kenya rather advised to take other measures that protest.
Corruption however remains one of the biggest vice that should be fought with concerted efforts.
