Kampala, Uganda: As the long-awaited event draws near, Tonta NRM United Voice a group gearing to canvass support for H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Tibuhaburwa countrywide in the upcoming elections confirmed to this website on Wednesday that they have so far mobilized over 50,000 people to attend a recognition event to President’s overwhelming work he has delivered for Uganda at Kololo Independence grounds on 5th July, 2024.
With the event anticipated to be attended by over 200,000 Ugandans, TONTA single-handedly has successfully mobilized over 50,000 in number for this historical gesture.
Byamugisha Emma, the National Coordinator of this group has confirmed his team is ready to deliver to the expectation of the event saying that they have been given charge of proving security in conjunction with Special Forces Command (SFC) as well as ensuring welfare of the attendees.
“We are also privileged that TONTA has also been accredited to provide security for that event and I want to assure that all the people who will be at Kololo will be secure. I call upon all Ugandans from different parts to come to Kololo as we thank President Museveni for guiding the country well.” Emma added.
He revealed that the NRM Directorate of mobilization accredited TONTA as the campaigning group that will traverse the whole country to canvass support for President Museveni in the forthcoming 2026 General Elections.
“The directorate of mobilization has confirmed to us that it has secured required means of transport that will pick people from different corners of the country that TONTA has mobilized. We are happy that Ugandans have embraced our message about president Museveni and his government, in this we have been able to get coordinator everywhere and many have converted from other parties to NRM so far.” Says Emma.
The event is organized by the Directorate of mobilization for the National Resistance Movement Party (NRM Secretariat) headed by Hon. Rosemary Nansubuga on 5th July, 2024 at memorial Kololo Independence Grounds starting at 9Am EAT.
This group meets always on Saturday for general meeting in Lubaga Division from 2pm sharp to strategize for the Kololo event and the mega countrywide mobilization.
